Please find below an update on requirements to visit Antigua & Barbuda effective from the 16th of April 2022.  
All fully vaccinated passengers arriving to Antigua and Barbuda who show proof of a WHO recognised 2 dose or single dose vaccine are not required to present a PCR/Rapid Antigen Test negative result to be permitted entry, unless they show symptoms of possible infection. 

Unvaccinated passengers are required to submit a negative RT PCR test within 3 days of arrival or a negative Rapid Antigen Test within 24 hours of arrival inclusive of minors aged 5 and 18 years old Children 4 years or younger entering Antigua and Barbuda do not require a COVID -19 RT-PCR test. 

Please kindly note regulations governing the mandatory wearing of face masks has been repealed, the wearing of face masks are entirely optional for both guests and employees.

Carlisle Bay is delighted to provide our guests the with on-site Antigen testing at a cost of US$50 per person. Results will be available within an hour of testing. If a PCR test is required, Carlisle Bay Resort can arrange for a medical professional to visit the resort to administer the test at a cost of US$300 per person (Call out Fee: US$100; Lab Fee: US$200). Results of which will be sent via email to the guest within 24 – 48 hours. Guest are encouraged to pre-book their required service at least three days in advance for PCR testing and at least 24 hours for Antigen testing. Please note that the lab is open from Monday through Friday for processing and closed on Saturday and Sunday.

  • Upon arrival into Antigua, Airport Authorities will ask for confirmation of a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR (Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction) test for each guest, taken within seven (7) days of travel (this includes Transiting Passengers).
  • Guests arriving by sea (private yacht and ferry services) are subject to fourteen (14) days quarantine according to guidelines issued by Port Health Authorities.
  • Your body temperature will be taken upon arrival into the Airport, you shall be asked to show proof of Negative result of COVID-19 RT-PCR test.
  • All arriving passengers must wear a face mask in all public areas of the airport. In addition, the wearing of an appropriate face covering in public spaces is mandatory throughout Antigua and Barbuda and social distancing practices must be adhered to.
  • Upon arrival you shall be greeted by our Concierge and Front Office teams, who shall maintain all social distancing protocols to ensure your safety at all times.
  • A full welcome pack will be provided to you on arrival, no signature will be required, in order to assist with a speedy check in for all guests. 
  • Key Cards will be disinfected with medical-grade antimicrobial agent after each stay.
  • Furniture has been rearranged in lobbies and communal areas in such a way to allow you to enjoy our facilities with proper social distancing.
  • We have increased the frequency of cleaning and sanitising of all surfaces and touch points throughout our hotel.
  • Hand sanitiser stations are available throughout the hotel at every necessary location.
  • Signage will remain in place throughout our public areas to remind our guests to observe social distancing and handwashing.
  • We will choose to leave doors open, where possible, to reduce touch points for guests
  • Additional periodic cleaning of high touch areas will be carried out with sanitising agents.

  • High touch points will have additional levels of sanitation of each room. This includes door handles, remote controls and bathrooms.
  • Additional deep cleaning protocols in place with santising agents.
  • An electronic version of our Guest Directory is available to see online where you can find all the information about the hotel and services.
  • Operating a full social distancing policy in all food & beverage outlets, in line with the Government Guidelines.
  • We will provide table service in all our food and beverage outlets.
  • There will be a reduced number of tables to ensure social distancing.
  • Creation of a ‘Covid-Compliance’ Operational Committee.
  • Full compliance with Government Guidelines.
  • A Covid 19 Safety Training Induction will have been completed by all the team prior to reopening. 
  • Additional risk assessments have been completed with the implementation of extra control measures and amended operating procedures.
  • All staff will have a temperature check prior entering the property.
  • Rigorous training on effective social distancing protocols carried out with our teams.
  • Hand washing and sanitising points for our team members.
  • Ongoing communications with all team about symptoms and procedures.
  • All CARA spa treatments must be pre-booked.
  • Realignment for the physical customer journey for all spa treatments.
  • Additional staff time allocation for sanitisation of all treatment rooms, gym and pool area.
  • Leisure facilities will be available for hotel guests only.
