NAMASTÉ AT CARLISLE BAY
Few locations surpass Carlisle Bay for your daily sun salutations; here the energy is just right – you can feel the elements at play, bathing in the soft warmth of the sun for your morning meditation whilst the cool breeze from the rainforest keeps you refreshed during your vinyasa flow…

Carlisle Bay offers complimentary sunrise and sunset yoga sessions on the jetty so that you can watch the beauty of nature from your downward facing dog. Acclimatise your mindset and allow your thoughts to drift into a serene state. Yoga in the Caribbean becomes nothing but pure bliss.

Yoga helps to counteract the negative effects of stress by using practices that elicit the relaxation response, including diaphragmatic breathing, meditation and the sequence of physical poses / asanas. These allow the parasympathetic nervous system to slow the heart rate, slow the breathing rate, decrease blood pressure, decrease muscular tension and calm the mind (to name but a few).

At Carlisle Bay we are excited to launch our first yoga and integrative health retreat in May 2020, combining the restorative benefits of yoga with the expertise of luxury brands ESCAPADA and ESPA, to provide a healing and uplifting break. ESCAPADA specialises in Chinese Medicine and delivers an individualised retreat programme, including a focused health consultation upon arrival, followed by a prescription of acupuncture treatment and therapeutic massage.

ESPA, guided by this philosophy, work alongside our healthcare professionals to tend to the whole wellbeing of each and every guest through a mixture of holistic face and body treatments. All this combined with mindful movement and nourishing nutrition will ensure that your year gets off to the right start.

“Namasté: my soul honours your soul.
I honour the place in you where the entire universe resides.
I honour the light, love, truth, beauty and peace within you, because it is also within me.
In sharing these things, we are united, we are the same, we are one.”
